The main equipment of hot-dip galvanizing furnace includes: galvanizing pot, galvanizing furnace body, heating system, temperature measurement and control system. The selection of materials, the quality of manufacturing process, the selection of heating system and its combination with zinc pot, the accuracy and reliability of temperature measurement and control equipment have a direct impact on the life of zinc pot and the cost and efficiency of the whole galvanizing process.
Different heating systems have been developed to accommodate different energy sources such as gas (natural gas, urban gas, etc.), electricity, oil and coal. The heating, installation and heating characteristics of the heating system have a great influence on the life of the zinc pot. The furnace body structure and combustion system should make full use of the heating area available in the zinc pot to evenly heat the wall. Avoid hot spots on the wall so as to prolong the life of the zinc pot.
Some people advocate that the heating system of galvanizing furnace should transfer most of the heat to the upper part of the galvanizing pot, because the upper part of the galvanizing pot consumes the most heat. But in this way, the zinc pot should be deep enough, and the heating area of the pot should be large enough to ensure that the upper half of the pot does not exceed the critical heating strength. The lowest part of the heating surface of the zinc pot must be kept at about 100 mm above the zinc slag layer. If the zinc slag layer is expected to reach about 200 mm, the bottom of the zinc pot above 300 mm is not heated.
The control of the temperature of galvanizing furnace is also very important for prolonging the service life of zinc pot. In addition to uniform heating, the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the zinc pot must be minimized. The temperature of the inner wall of the zinc pot should not exceed 480%.
