The main equipment of hot galvanizing furnace includes: zinc pot, furnace body of galvanizing furnace, heating system, temperature measurement and control system. The selection of materials, the quality of manufacturing process, the selection of heating system and its combination with the zinc pot, the accuracy and reliability of temperature measurement and control equipment, etc., all directly affect the life of the zinc pot and the cost and efficiency of the entire galvanizing process.
Different heating systems have been developed to adapt to different energy sources such as gas (natural gas, city gas, etc.), electricity, fuel oil and coal. The manufacturing, installation and heating characteristics of the heating system have a great impact on the life of the zinc pot. The furnace structure and combustion system shall make full use of the available heating area of the zinc pot to evenly heat the pot wall., Avoid hot spots on the pot wall to prolong the life of the zinc pot.
Some people argue that the heating system of the galvanizing furnace should transfer most of the heat to the upper part of the zinc pot, because the upper part of the zinc pot is the part that consumes the most heat during hot galvanizing. However, the zinc pot shall be deep enough and the heating area of the zinc pot shall be large enough to ensure that the upper part of the zinc pot does not exceed the critical heating strength. The lowest part of the heating surface of the zinc pot must be kept about 100mm above the zinc slag layer. If the zinc slag layer is expected to reach about 200mm, the zinc pot will not be heated within 300mm above the bottom.
The temperature control of zinc plating furnace is also very important for prolonging the life of zinc pot. In addition to uniform heating, the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the zinc pot wall must be minimized. The temperature of the inside of the zinc pot wall cannot exceed 480 ℃.
